Privacy policy
Last updated: 30/10/2026
In this policy, “The Donut Watch Co”, “we”, “us” and “our” refers to the Donut Watch Company, a registered brand and trademark under Horologer Ming SA.
The Donut Watch Company ("we") runs donut.watch and its shop, our emails, and Jelly Run.
What we use it for. We use personal information to run, secure and improve our site, shop, game and emails; to take, deliver and support orders, including warranty claims; to check payments and prevent fraud, cheating and sanctions breaches; to send marketing emails; and to meet legal duties and protect our rights.
What we get from others. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture, and use them for any of the purposes above including your game account, the contest, our shop and our emails. We also receive payment and fraud-check results from our payment providers, security signals from our security providers, and delivery updates from carriers.
Who we share it with. We share it with our service providers (such as shop, payment, delivery, email, hosting and analytics providers), banks, carriers and customs authorities, professional advisers, authorities where the law requires, and any buyer or successor of our business. Board names and game results may be shown publicly.
Shopify, which runs our shop, processes your payment information to provide its payment services. Its payment processor may also use personal information as an independent controller for purposes of its own, such as anti-money-laundering, sanctions and other legal checks, under its own privacy notice.
Shopify hosts our shop, and collects and processes your information, including for its own services across shops. Information you give our shop is shared with Shopify and with third parties that may be in other countries. See Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy, and use its privacy portal to opt out or object.
Where it goes. We and our providers may process personal information worldwide. Where a country lacks adequate data protection, we rely on standard contractual clauses or our providers' binding corporate rules. Delivering your order, including to carriers and customs authorities, relies instead on the transfer being needed to perform our contract with you.
Cookies. We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, and for analytics and marketing. You can refuse or delete them in your browser settings.
If you live in the European Economic Area (EEA: the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) or the UK. The paragraphs from here to Contact apply only to you, and only as far as the data protection law where you live requires.
Legal grounds. We use your information:
-
to perform our contract with you: orders, delivery, warranty claims, your game account and the contest;
-
for our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving our services, checking payments, preventing fraud and cheating, publishing game results, complying with other laws that apply to us, protecting our legal rights, and any sale or reorganisation of our business;
-
with your consent, for marketing emails and for analytics and marketing cookies; and
-
to meet our legal obligations under EEA or UK law.
You can object at any time to marketing and, on grounds relating to your situation, to any use based on our legitimate interests.
Your rights. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict its use, or to give it to you in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier use. You can also complain to us or to a data protection authority.
What you must give us. To place an order, you need to give the contact, delivery and payment details asked for at checkout; without them, we cannot take or deliver it. To save scores and enter the contest, you need to sign in. Other details you give us are up to you.
How long we keep it. We keep:
-
order and payment records as long as accounting and tax law requires;
-
your game account until you ask us to delete it or the game closes;
-
marketing data until you unsubscribe;
-
final leaderboards and winner lists while claims about the contest remain possible;
-
analytics data for a limited period, after which it is deleted automatically;
-
everything else until its purpose is met and any dispute is settled.
Safeguards. Standard contractual clauses are published by the European Commission, with the UK versions by the UK Information Commissioner, and Shopify's binding corporate rules by Shopify.
